….We were ready when a teacher from Pleasant Grove Elementary School in
Alabama asked how her fourth graders could help SC schools hard-hit
She remembered the outpouring of support her town received after
tornados ravaged the area in 2011, and wanted her students “to learn
that as others help us during the tornado, we need to help a school
in need.” As a result, they created and sold refrigerator magnets to
support their fellow students and educators in SC.
Unknown to her, the SC School Boards Association had already asked SC
Future Minds to coordinate help for schools damaged by the recent
floods. When the teacher contacted us, we were able to put her
directly in touch with a needy school.
Because SC Future Minds exists….
We’re able to support SC public schools through such programs as
May’s Teacher Appreciation Month, the SC Conference of Public
Education Partners and My First Library, providing free books to
kindergarteners in SC’s most challenged schools.
Please consider a year-end donation today to support SC Future Minds
– the only non-profit focused on supporting SC’s 700,000 students,
1,200 schools and 50,000 teachers.
Your gift allows us to connect willing donors with aspiring schools.
