Meet Candace Bohachic, Dillon School District Four’s Teacher of the Year
Candace is a 3rd grade teacher, busy being a positive influence to students all over the school, instructing them in ELA, math, science, and social studies at East Elementary School -whew! As The Frizz says, “SEATBELTS, everyone!”
“When I was in the third grade, I had a teacher named Mrs. Moody. She was wonderful! She challenged me to do my best and was caring. My goal from then on was to be the best teacher, to carry on her legacy.
As a teacher, you will be molding the future. It is a job that makes you give 100%. The hardest part of being a teacher is the stress from testing our students. As teachers, we must watch our students stress about making sure they get a good score. But showing growth is what is important!
The most satisfying part of my day is being with my students. I love interacting with them and seeing how much they are growing daily! I love knowing that I am making a difference in my kids’ lives. The feeling I get when I see the light bulb go off when they understand something new is indescribable!”
